Page 5 - Disassembly

We'll begin our take apart section with an HDB fan shot.

It goes without saying that the platform inside this unit is the same one we've already seen, but here's a picture anyway.

There are no line filtering components at the line input, so we'll move on.

Soldering looks excellent, as well it should.

There's our line filter. Five Y caps, four X caps, two coils, and a TVS diode.

PFC parts include one diode and two 5R140Ps. The controller is once again encased in shielding, making it impossible to get to.

There's the standby output Schottky, an S10C60C.

Two more 5R140Ps act as main switchers.

Each minor rail VRM uses four 0906NS parts for output. An SF201T is the main PWM controller on that card to the right.

Filtered exclusively by Nippon Chemi-Con parts, the 12V output uses four 041N04N parts.

Finally, we get a little extra filtering on the modular board. See you on the scoring page!
