Let's clear another one of these units off the shelf now, shall we? I mentioned before that Seasonic had sent me the whole range of Prime Platinum units for review, and by golly I was not kidding.
Today, we'll be looking at the 1kW unit, the second one down from the top.
Of course, all the marketing is the same as what we've already seen from the 650W and 1200W models. We need not talk about it again in this review, but I will admit to being anxious to see if that bold promise of mythic level regulation extends to all the models in the line.
Specs? This unit has a few, and they are rather not surprisingly right in line with a 1kW power supply. So, if you were looking for specs on your dishwasher or lawnmower, you're out of luck today.
Another shot of the box, just in case you don't speak English.
Here we find emphatic proof that the box opens, and there is in fact something inside of it. Sorry guys. If I sound impatient, it's because I've seen the Prime Platinum packaging three times now and just want to get on with things.
Next time, I may not even shoot the box.
Inside the box, we find the same contents as the 1200W model, just with a less powerful power supply. Modular cables, bag of goodies, power cord, cable bag, and PSU bag. Also some air, but not much because there's a good deal of foam padding.
The contents of the goody bag. Again, same as the other models. Zip ties, Velcro ties, two manuals, stickers, and quite possibly a partridge in a pear tree if we look hard enough. I certainly can't complain about the amount of accessories Seasonic throws in, or the documentation.
