Hello, good peoples. Shall we see another Sonic today? Er... saw another scenic? You know what I mean, right?
We looked at the first unit in this new line of Seasonic's when we tested the 1200W top of the line unit last month. And it was impressive, like all modern units from this company. I've actually got some exciting news for you on that unit as the review goes on, but for now we need to look at the box pictures of the baby in the line, the 650W model. In fact, I have all models in the Prime Platinum line to review as time marches on, so this will be only the second of five.
As was the case with the 1200W, the marketing is the same. We won't get into that again... everything about the marketing applies equally to the two models. Again, the promise of mythic level voltage regulation is right at the top of the list and I can't wait to make sure this unit actually does it.
Have a load table, won't you? I always go by the one on the actual unit itself, but Seasonic isn't known for making mistakes here and this is no exception. Likewise, I always go by my own measurements on the cables and connectors... sometimes they can come up a bit short or long compared to the box figures.
Not an English speaker? You're covered on this side of the box if you want to be sold on marketing in your native tongue.
The box is now unpacked. I know you're disappointed I didn't get a few more cardboard shots for you. We have a modular cable bag stuffed with cables, a power cord, a power supply in a bag, and a bag of documentation and goodies.
As was the case with the 1200W, Seasonic did not skimp here. Lots of goodies, ample documentation. I'm happy. I'm a happy guy. I'm happy with my life. I'm happy with the way things are going in my life. I'm happy with... with with...
I KNOW HER NAME! Yes. I'm happy... with... Melissa. Ahem. Sorry about that, it's twister season.
