Hellos, peoples, and Howard Hughes today? Sorry... I've been into the caffeine big time this morning, and my brain's a bit loopier than usual.
Today we're going to look at another unit from Seasonic. This time, it's the G Series 650W model, big brother to the 360W and 550W units I looked at not long ago. You'll recall that this is Seasonic's more value oriented performance line offering things like 80 Plus Gold efficiency and even semi-modularity on the higher powered models.
As is the usual case, we have some marketing to look at. But it's all marketing we've seen before, so I'll refrain from commenting on it this time. It should be noted, however, that I am still not seeing a maximum operating temperature spec on this unit. This was the case with the smaller models as well.
Since we do not have this data, I'll go ahead and shoot for fifty degrees in the hot box, assuming I can get it that hot.
Specifications here, on this side of the box.
Contents here, on this side of the box. Y'all think I should unpack this now?
I knew you were going to say that, but I'm out of chocolate Twizzlers, sorry. You'll have to go to the store. Meantime, I'll just unpack the box.
A power supply, a power cord, user guide, bag of accessories, and a bag of cables. That's what was in there, along with a hefty helping of air and foam.
Seasonic's familiar blue and white warranty sheet was found lurking within the pages of the user guide.
The contents of the accessories bag: some zip ties, some velcro ties, a case sticker, and some screws.
