Today's power supply comes to us from OCZ. The ZT Series is a fully modular,
80 Plus Bronze certified power supply, available in 550W, 650W and 750W. We're
going to have a look at the 750W today.
The retail box for the ZT looks a lot like the box we used for BFG power supplies
while I was working there. Of course, we stole that idea from Western Digital's
retail box for hard drives. Fair's fair.
The back of the box looks like it has some good information on it. Let's zoom
in and give it a read...
As I stated before, this power supply is fully modular. That translates into
"fully customizable" as you can completely eliminate any unused cables. The
ZT power supply is kept "extreme cool" by a thermostatically controlled 140mm
fan. The ZT power supply also features OCZ's 5 year "PowerSwap" warranty, which
is OCZ's advanced replacement RMA policy.
But wait! There's more!
Here's all the important techinal information us computer geeks like to look
at.
The important things to note here is that this PSU is rated continuously and
at 45°C (as opposed to rated at peak and/or at room temperature) and that 105°C
capacitors are used, which should provide a longer life.
At the bottom of this panel of the box, we see the DC output table. Below
is our reproduction of the DC output table:
