Corsair is a company that likes to keep their products up to date. Not long ago, they replaced their venerable AX1500i with something even more powerful and awesome. They're at it again today with a freshened up version of their more budget friendly RM750x. Let's find out what's different.
Once upon a time, Lepa, sister company to Enermax, sent us a 1kW 80 Plus Bronze unit built by Yuelin that turned into an unmitigated disaster performance wise. Today, we'll be looking at a new budget minded unit from Enermax, the RevoBron 700W. We're going to see if this unit deals with the multitude of issues the old Lepa unit had. Either this is going to be a fun review for all the wrong reasons or all the right reasons. Let's delay no longer and see what this little guy is all about.
It's time to have a look at another Cougar unit. This is a company we don't hear from too much, but they are keen to keep us aware that they do in fact offer power supply alternatives to the bigger names out there. Today, we'll be looking at the new GX-F series at 750 watts. We'll find out if it's worthy of our hard earned dollars.
Let's take a break from all the Titanium units we've been looking at lately and go Platinum again. Thermaltake has sent my way their brand new Toughpower Grand RGB 1200 watt model, and it comes boasting a lot of features and performance at a good price. Well, as good a price as we can have these days with all the crypto mining going on. Shall we see if this bad boy is any good?
It's Silverstone's turn at the plate again today. They've sent me their biggest and baddest unit in the Strider Titanium 1500 watt model. Given the high demand for units this size by crypto miners lately, it's always good to check them out to see how they do when put to the test.
Seasonic is continuing its evolution of the Prime platform by taking a 600 watt version and making it fanless today. Will it be as awesome as all the other Prime units? There's only one way to find out.
I'm looking under the hood of another beast of a unit today in the Enermax MaxTytan 1250 watt model. This is the top of the line Titanium unit for Enermax, and I'm excited to see how it holds up against some very strong competition.
Many moons ago, Corsair rocked the power supply world with the release of the AX1500i... a very impressive and also very expensive piece of hardware that showed just what this company was capable of. But that was then and this is now. Corsair's come back to the table today with another beast of a flagship to succeed that model in the AX1600i. This unit comes with a lot of design improvements inside, particularly in the PFC section. Let's see if it's worthy of carrying the Corsair torch for a few more years.
Let's look at another one of Seasonic's Prime Ultra units today. This time, it'll be the Platinum 1kW variant of the platform, where Seasonic promises all the performance we came to expect with the old unit, except without those meddlesome in cable capacitors. Let's see what happens.
