HIPER's latest, 5th Generation Power Supplies with integrated USB ports and charger port will be available in North America by end of July.
Besides the server class design (still Andyson, I presume) build and quality, and the un-mistakable “HiperToolBox”, these new PSUs are upgraded with the following “patented” features: total of 4 integrated USB 2.0 ports, plus one convenient USB-style port for charging most mobile devices even when the computer is powered off. This is another example of Hiper’s dedication to the “Energy Saving”, thus yield real monetary saving to the consumer.
Pricing for these seem to be quite reasonable at $169 for the 770W and $154 for the 730W.
In the past, Type-R would typically be the modular version and Type-M the power supply with fixed cables, but in looking at the press release, product pages and manual, I can not see where either model is modular.
