The 980X Extreme
Edition was the first 32nm processor in the Core i7 series. He has 6 cores with
hyperthreading and Turbo Mode support. The Core i7 980X work with the existing
base of X58 based motherboards. Only a bios update is necessary. But what about
the performance? Are 12 Threads really necessary? @ Hardware Overclock
