Gabriel takes a through look at the FSP/SPI built Zalman ZM360B. Although Zalman seem to be using the housing as a heatsink, this is certainly not a new idea (Zippy/EMACS did this long before) nor is it well implemented in this case (pardon the pun!). This is not the heatpipe version of Zalman's units but one aimed at the budget conscious. The internals are sparse (perhaps due to the topology being employed), but they seem to have fixed the ripple issue and with good voltage regulation regulation (load not line), everything remains within ATX specs. Seems to be a nice compact unit for the less demanding home user.
