This weekend, bit-tech take a look at the Enermax Pro 82+, a 625W rated unit. Enermax claims to have enforced several design changes when compared to their existing lineup of PSU's. The unit is rated at 40C and although the platform looks familiar, the component upgrades are readily visible. Gone are the CTC branded Primary and Secondary capacitors. They are now replace by Matsushita on the Primary and Chemicon on the secondary. Note that while the review claims:
"Chemicon KY and KTZ"; to my knowledge, Chemicon have never released a "KTZ" branded capacitor (it could be KZE, KZM or KZH)".
All the marketing hype aside, the unit passed bit-tech's load tests (no hot-box or ripple measurements) without a fuss. Note that the unit seems to be horrendously expensive for the EU market (a good 10-15% more than similar products). Check out the review HERE.
