An 230V-only unit with a 80plus bronze badge?
http://www.plugloadsolutions.com/psu...00W_Report.pdf

Report states it is 100-240V. Switcheroo much?

LC-Power I linked to earlier is guilty of the same thing. And so was eg. Aerocool Strike-X 600W.

That was probably going to be "compatible" as those units are based on a watered down version of Golden Green. They use LLC Resonant + SR. They should easily be capable of doing Bronze.

Besides, that wasn't my point. What I was saying is that, the "230v" doesn't mean it lacks A-PFC; it just means the unit would only be sold in Europe.

See this, the 5-6 year old A12-S. A %83 efficient, "230v" only Sirtec.

To be certified by 80+ your unit has to be run at full load and at 115vAC around 23*C (+/-5*C.)

That's the issue.

From Xigmatek's website:
Quote:
100-240VAC or 230VAC only (Two models)
[NOTICE]Please note the AC input wattage on power supply package before purchase, model of 230V AC input only is not workable in 100~115V countries.
Tweaktown seemed to have tested (taken photos of) the version with universal input, while TPU tested the version with 230V AC only input.

The primary switchers (including PFC and double-forward stage) of this unit are too undersized for a 1KW unit with universal input.
