Default Time to upgrade and would appreciate help.

I'm currently running on a CaseGears Black Steel 580W PSU that came with my PC. Now, so far it hasn't given me any real problems. It runs every thing I've got in my case just fine. I recently bought an 8800 GTX card off a friend, and found out when I got home, I realize this $20 PSU doesn't have a single PCI -e connector, let alone the 2 I need. And just to help things along, my PSU makes this horrible rattling/buzzing noise for about 15-20 minutes whenever I power it up, so I'm feeling like it's on its way out.

I'll admit, prior to a couple months ago I didn't really pay much attention to my PSU. I've educated myself a bit, but I really would like to get a couple of opinions about the subject.

So here's the salient points:
-Currently using Black Steel 580W PSU (probably on its way out)
-looking for a PSU that will run this nVidia 8800GTX so I need 2 6-pin PCI-e connectors
-I have a NZXT Lexa case (in case size is an issue)
-looking to spend around $100 or less (less is better, but I don't want to be a cheapskate about this)

I was looking at maybe getting a Corsair TX750 or TX650, but there's so many reviews saying they died within hours of installation, I wanted to be sure I was buying a quality product.

Thanks in advance for any help/tips/suggestions!

Well, per this review, almost anything will be an improvement.

But what are you running, and what market are you in. (US?)

$60

Yes, I'm in the US, and I'm guessing you mean running hardware wise?

-one Hitachi Deckstar 7K250 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822145051
-one Samsung Super Write Master DVD Burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151187
-Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
-a multi-card reader that I'm unsure of the brand
-2 NZXT 120mm exhaust fans
-Intel 92mm CPU fan

Anything else important I'm forgetting?

Yeah, anything above 350 watts will do.

A few years ago, 550-650 was the bottom of what was available. The economy of scale of mass production made the 650-750 watts good choices because they covered the largest percentage of the market.

You just don't need anything near that amount of wattage.

For $60 the one I listed is a huge, and I mean huge improvement over what you have.

There is nothing wrong with the models you have listed, they just aren't the current value leaders.
