That Vreg was/is down right ugly.

I know it's a stupid question, but did you check to see if the pins of the modular cables were in well and tight?

I've had that issue on some fully modular units (SS X-650, Ultra x4 600) and not on others (ST75FP)

Yup. And I had multiple connectors plugged into the load tester, of course. The voltages reported were actually the highest of all of the voltage taking into account there would be some resistance.

From page 3:
Quote:
This power supply is supposed to have separate +12V rails, and I have the capability and will load each of these +12V rails. But I will only report the highest +12V voltage for each load as lower voltages can be blamed on the resistance in the cable or connectors.

Yeah, nice PSU, but shame of the voltage regulation

Like I said, it's power is overrated a little. They should've released it as a platinum with a good v-reg instead of a gold with mediocre regulation...

It barely made Gold. Not sure how under-rating it will make it pass Platinum. It never came close to 92% efficient at any load.

I guess enermax released it in such a hurry that they don't have time to improve it.

Any chance we will be seeing the rotated board with other OEMs soon or is it just not a big enough advantage to justify a massive redesign?
