Default What's the relationship between Enermax, EcoMaster and LEPA?

The Ad banner in JG articles is displaying a new brand called "LEPA". Out of curiosity, I did a search on the web and found these brand names related: Enermax, Enermax NAXN, EcoMaster Technology and LEPA. NAXN is Enermax's newly released brand/product line full of PSUs rebranded from other companies. EcoMaster as a Taiwanese trade company has some sort of close relationship with Enermax, and LEPA is EcoMaster's in-house brand. All LEPA PSUs are rebranded from Enermax's Modu87+ and NAXN series (their cases are different from Enermax brand cases). Only Enermax and LEPA brands are listed on EcoMaster's website.

The similarities of LEPA and HEC's Cougar are also quite interesting.

I heard there were some financial troubles and they had to reorganize. Ecomaster technically replaces Maxpoint and Coolergiant as Enermax distributors. We've even seen some Enermax product sold as "Ecomaster Enermax".

LEPA is their low end product line. Sort of like what Silver Power is to Tagan.

This one pretty much changed.

Tagan now releases so-so Enhance builds and Silverpower rocks 750W model of M12D platform. Arguably, Tagan never really had any spectacular PSUs, IMO the best they ever had was Superrock/PipeRock II 680W

The LEPA units being low end seems odd to me since they're all MODU87+ units right now.

Yeah.. I guess LEPA isn't the low end, but are they really the same as MODU87+? Seems redundant.

They are all part of the same company. Ecomaster is just the arm/division distributing product (LEPA, Enermax). NAXN are low end line of Enermax units from other OEM's.

Seems like it, as Ecos/80+ agrees.

Price point. LEPA does not carry the value added connotation of the Enermax name.
