Has it really hit the end of the road? Has productions of them stopped completely? I don't see NewEgg stocking up on them anymore.

I don't know if it is offical bcuz I haven't seen any news about discontinuing the that product line.

Just wondering what everyone's insight on it is.

About 1/4 of my clients are still running 939, and a small percentage are still running s754, s478, s462, and I still have 2 clients running s370
I only have 1 client on AM2{5200+}the rest is s775
But you can still find CPU's for all the sockets I listed new

I was thinking about plopping a $154 opty165 into an $50 a8n-sli premium but the cost is so similar compared to a C2D that seems to kill the opty in all the benchmarks TomsHardware showed that I dunno if I should even bother.

Mebbe stick a 3700+ San Diego and let it go at that.

What are everyone's thoughts?

What's your specs?
I just came from a 3700+ Sandy E4{1.35v}that was good for 2.7@ stock volts and nice and cool of course I strip my A64's naked

I don't understand your question. The pc hasn't been built yet. I will be running it on an a8n-sli platinum motherboard with corsair value pc3200z and an ATI x300 128m card.

I got my case and psu and a 250gig sata hd.

I dunno how much the AMD DC or SC cpu will tax the psu compared to my p4 prescott. I still wanna make use of my antec 480watt.

Your power usage will be decreased with a A64 or Opty sc or dc vs. your

As for your TP 480 or Neo 480, it will have the balls, but you might want to go ahead and check out the condition of the caps especialy if it's been thru the grinder and more then a year old
