what is an electric circuit, and what is it,s purpose. also what is the purpose of a resister on an electronic circuit.

An electric circuit is when a bunch of components work together to do something.

As for a resistor, google it

as the name implies its job is to resist the voltage pressure otherwise it will be a short circuit which is bad.
