Default 1000w PSU from BeQuiet - Dark Power Pro P8

BeQuiet is a European (or UK) based company that has been making power supplies for a while now, and this one, the Dark Power Pro P8 1000w, is one of their latest. Asthetically, it looks freekin' AWESOME!!! The fan grill is too cool, and the swivel thingy where the the main 20+4 power cable enters the PSU enclosure is unique and a great idea. Overall, the review is positive (including excellent efficiency over 90% up thru 75% load), but there's a bit of a 12v ripple issue at high load levels. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows if BeQuiet PSUs are available anywhere in the US, or if they have plans on expanding to the US market, and it would be interesting to find out who their OEM is.....
THANKS!

They've turned into FSP completely since they dropped Topower.

Performancepcs.com had a few BeQuiet branded units at one time but not at the moment and Newegg had some Bgears brand which I think was supposed to be BeQuiet/Revoltecs North American brand name but those are gone now. Zipzoomfly has a Bgears unit but it's an Andyson OEM and not the same as any BeQuiets.

Probably if you want one you'll need to order it from overseas. Be aware that the 1200W version of the new P8 series that you're looking at is a 240V input only model...for reasons unclear to me. Travis, got any idea why?

BeQuiet and Revoltec are both brand names of the german Listan GmbH und Co. KG.

Former BQ! units were build by Topower (P4, P5, P6) and FSP (E5, E6, E7, P7, L6, L7).

Here are some Reviews with photos from the inside:
P8 Pro 750W @au-ja.de (german)
P8 Pro 900W @technic3d.com (german)

APFC is more stressed at low input but 1200W shouldn't be a problem.
With 1500W the 15A input current limit is the major problem.

Something about the particular designs inrush current was the only idea I could come up with.

They just sell them, not make them (as do mostly all others)

Drats! Last year I won a P6 Dark Power Pro 850W in an internet contest. Knowing so little about PSUs, I traded it for an ATI HD4850 512MB GPU and bought a Corsair CX400W.

I thought I wouldn't be needing the Be Quiet PSU...until two months later, I won this 5850 card.

Knowing now that it was a Topower-made PSU makes me feel bad that I'm now using a Sirtec PSU.

Oh, well.

At that time, the P7 series should be out...

They were probably trying to offload older stock.
