Default recommend power supply pls@1000w+

hi.im thinking about get over 1000w power supply.
my current system is
i7 920@4.2@1.22v
gtx285 sli
CM hf932
Ultra120 extream
rampage2

and i have antec 850 quattro but i dont feel comfortable with this power.
when i running prime95 or occt test voltage dancing around even idle
hoping get higer clock with better power supply also.

You don't need more than 850w. A 1000w PSU would be overkill for your rig.

As for the OC, having a better PSU won't improve your overclock.

Your current PSU is fine, and like RSC said, you won't improve your overclock by getting a more powerful PSU. Also, OCCT's voltage readings are meaningless. If you really want to monitor your voltages properly, the only way to do so is with a decent digital multimeter.

but eXtreme Power Supply Calculator saying i need 1036w tho.

I agree with others ... let's be real ... that machine of yours is taking no more than 500W under load (even under unrealistic one as OCCT).

You have a very fine PSU and as far as that calculator is concerned ... it's extremely inaccurate (I have checked in practice with a watmeter).

For voltage measurements the mentioned voltmeter is the way to go

also tripple sli don't scale well....

dual sli is good but tripple isn't worth the upgrade
