I am having a lan party tomorrow night and do not have a router. Instead i will be using my computer with 2 ethernet ports(asus m2n32-slideluxe) and 2 crossover cables. anyway, is there anything I should know ahead of time, what problems should I expect to see, is any special software required?
thank you BTW, IDK if this is the right area for this.

I've never used a cross over cable with more then two computers, so I'm not sure what trouble you might run into. If all of the computers have wireless ethernet or if you get yourself some wireless ethernet usb devices you can set up a private wireless network even if you don't have a router. That's the method my friends and I use when we're in random locations without internet.
