I have a question for Thermaltake Thoughpower 1500W
12V line is just below 12V ~ V 11.97 - 11.98 V. I would like to raise it to 12.1 V. Should I make "sense modded"? http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=37574 is there a better way to do it |

I also have a Q, but not about Thermaltake Thoughpower 1500W, It's about a new PSU by CWT 1500w. Since CWT also the maker of TT thoughpower, does this new PSU has some performance as TT Thoughpower??
Sorry TS, my Q got some relation to your Q, that's why i dun open new topic. Thanks |

Standard deviation is ±5% so I wouldn't worry about that. |

If i can raise the 12V line to 12,1V, then i can get a higher overclock on my Gfx. |

1. The only time +5V sense wire mod can adjust +12V is if your PSU is group regulated. The Toughpower is not group regulated.
2. A higher +12V is NOT going to help your overclocking ability. This is a false assumption.

No you can't. +12V voltage is NOT directly applied to the GPU or MEM. It's sent into the voltage regulator on board and regulated to certain output voltages, something like 1.10V, 1.8V, and supplied to the GPU and video memory as their working voltage. This certain working voltage won't change after you raise the +12V, since voltage regulator can adjust itself and compensate the input voltage change to remain the output stable.
