Default BFG LS Series PSU review @[H]

Just saw this, though it appears to have been posted yesterday. Figured someone would have posted about this already, but...

BFG LS Series Power Supplies

between the two current members, the 550w LS unit ever so slightly edges out the higher powered 680w
Long live low wattage unsexy low margin PSUs!

I know, I know, low wattage PSUs aren't as sexy as the latest kilowatt beast, or even crazy Warlocks with Black Magic. Speaking of which, why aren't those links listed here as well?

The sparse looking effect is magnified with the oversized PCB size, fact that the housing is 16 cm long, but indeed the size of the coils seem rather smallish in my sight.

The performancei is awesome though, it would be much more comforting should the units use more bonafide caps in its secondary side, they don't even have to be japanese, some decent Taiwanese caps like SamXon will install more confidence in their buyers mind.

IF indeed the units get better secondary side caps, and priced around or slightly less than its competitor, i see them having a great future.

Eventually Jonny gave in to Fore Point, and Jun Fu wins.
I think Jonny/BFGTech should stock teapo/samxon caps and request ODM to use certain components. A capable OEM must do that or it's the customers wanting a performance PSU who take the risk.
Stick to good caps and avoid the bad.

And you know that from where? Because your "source" would be wrong.

Only by speculation, no source here.
Well I do hope I'm wrong this time. I think using these Jun Fu doesn't match an enthusiast's nature.
The only reason they'll be using Jun Fus is that Jun Fu caps are magicians who turn ripples into nothing at all!

Or because there was a time line and they couldn't get an order from another vendor inline in time.

Does this mean this sample uses different caps than the mass-production type?
Or some earlier version products will still choose Jun Fu?

Hopefully, BFG will be able to get together an order for capacitors from a better manufacturer to replace the currently shipping JunFu's because as it stands they are an odd sight in what is supposed to be a product aimed for the "Performance" market segment.
Where does this "replace" take place?

The units reviewed are the first retail LS units available. They carry JunFu's on the secondary. Units produced later may replace the JunFu's with another vendor as the capacitors become available.

About that ripple suppression... How can it achieve this?
I know enlarging the output coil works well but bring down the transcient performance a little. Also the close loop characters may need to change a bit. Other options?
