First of all to introduce myself as I am all new here. I am Miodrag from Serbia and I am engineer of agriculture, fruits and wine section. Computers are only mine hobby and I will apologize at very beginning for lack of mine knowledge, so please do attend to correct me whenever you think I may be wrong.
Second, I want to thank you all for all yours work so far as I finally got huge number of info I have been searching so long now. Anyway I have some questions to ask. Chieftec Well on some Serbian forums this brand was long entitled as a best buy but in recent year or two people started to claim that their products got really bad. So far on this forum I have not seen this brand to be much represented so I wonder what do you think of it? I curently own model HPC-420W DF with UL No Level3 [[<- what this means?]] E166947 which points to Enhance company. This unit was bought two years ago so I wondered is it good quality one and since this Enhance [[totally unknown for me till now]] is good rated here, I made conclusion that this unit is ok. CoolerMaster I am buying whole new computer now and while I am in luck of budget I wondered to buy CM case that comes with PSU - Centurion or Elite series. What are yours experiences with built in CM PSUs? Anyhow can you please look following link which contains almost all PSU units at Serbian market and recommend me ones that you know that are ok. Thank you. http://www.itsvet.com/proizvodi/ante...y/producer/165 |

Welcome to the forum mate, greetings from Indonesia.
![]() Regarding your post, i've taken a peek into the e-tailer link, and i must say the PSU price in your country is quite hefty. Anyway, i think your countrymen in your local IT forum are right, Chieftec PSUs seem very reasonably priced -atleast compared to its competitors there. I particularly like this unit, CHIEFTEC CFT-750-14C, because i believe this unit is made by CWT (as the OEM) based on the well proven & regarded platform used by many other vendors (Thermaltake, XClio, Corsair, Xigmatek, etc). The price @107.89 € is very good by your country standard IMHO, fact that this THERMALTAKE W0117RE Unit using the very same platform & OEM is priced around 40% higher -but indeed, beside price, you must also consider the vendor warranty length & bonafidity + seller reputation & its aftersales support. For comparison, in Indonesia, the price of Thermaltake Toughpower 750w is around 150 US$ with 2-3 yrs warranty -depending on the distro promo program, while Corsair TX 750w which is using the same platform & OEM is priced @178 US$, but it got 5 yrs service & spareparts warranty coverage. Best regards.

Hmm, while browsing in that etailer website, i find this peculiar unit, FUJITSU-SIEMENS S26113-F453-L30 600W. This is the first time i've seen a PSU with its brand, any info regarding it's OEM maker & base platform, anyone ?
![]() It looks somehow similar to Enhance made Silverstone Strider ST60F, but the pic is blurry.

Thank you for yours response and recommendation, however I am searching for far cheaper PSU - up to top price of 65 euros - even thats too much already but it seems that only reliable choice I found on internet [at all reviews] is Corsair vx450w [which is 65 euros]. I am looking for something cheaper than this model that will give me stable work for years ahead.
Thank you. |

Hmm, perhaps Chieftec GPS-500AB-A wil suit your need & budget better ? IIRC its OEM is Delta, and the combined 12v rail should provide around 30 A, plenty enough for a mainstream rig built that you've planned.
But for 7 more Euros, i do think Corsair VX 450 is the better choice, especially if the warranty coverage is longer. Though the power rating is smaller, the 12v rail is actually stronger and made by Seasonic -it WILL atleast be more quiet compared to Delta's made PSU. I take that the sentence "Nema u prodaji!" means out of stock or coming soon, correct ?

1. Yours sugestion is correct "Nema u prodaji!" means out of stock.
2. Ppl in Serbian forums are mad about very those Chieftecs with sticker "made for Chieftec by Delta" and there are lot of complains of burned computers with these PSUs. 3. Thank you all for the effort to help me out but you miss one really big fact - Serbia is one of most poorest countries at Europe [burebista you should know since we are very close to each other] so please give me choice that will not burn up mine PC for low price. Thanks. |

![]() But please don't skip the PSU. It's the heart of your system. BTW what configuration do you have in mind? I don't see at that site another good case with PSU: Antec NSK6580. Should be ~25 euro's cheaper than Sonata III. |

This PSU should run following configuration:
MB: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L CPU: E2200 DualCore GPU: nVidia 8600 GT RAM: 4x2GB Trascend DDR2 800MHz [CL5] HDD: Maxtor DiamondMax 10 250 GB SATA DVD/RW - random IDE/SATA LiteOn probably [[I know that I will not gain performance with 8 gigs of RAM, but I will not be in position to buy computer in next 5 years, so I dont want to miss a chance of current market low priced DDR2 stockings]] I almost never overclock... Anyhow, armed with knowledge I gathered here, I will go today to local reseller to pickup UL numbers from his current PSU stockings. |
