Default What's happening with reviews, guys?

I haven't noticed many reviews of late, are you guys moving away from doing them? Please don't say yes! Those of you running this site are really needed by the world, and I am sure I speak for almost everybody that we not only hold all you guys in high esteem, but need your help when we advise others.

For instance, I used to continually refer Jonny's recommended list to lots of people who were building or upgrading/replacing. I am sad that those sticky threads have been abandoned.

While I realize it is NOT my birthright to expect you all to do anything, I'd hate to see people depending on, say, anandtech and their flawed reviews when you all here have been doing this for a while now and aren't as stuck up and arrogant as they are over there, and as wrong as they are too.

I wish I could offer to chip in, but I don't yet know how to do anything that would be useful:

Our house wiring here is substandard, so I couldn't do anything involving that, even if you all wanted help. I am just now starting to learn webpage making, so null on that one too. And lastly, while I am a technician by trade, I don't have your knowledge and experice, jonny, matt, wolf, and the rest of you great guys.

Please don't take me the wrong way, all I am saying is that I hope we aren't losing your help. I know you all are very busy men with other responsibilities and I sure wish I was one to help.

Thanks guys for all you have done and are doing and will do in the future, I know you aren't getting rich off of this, but believe me, wealth isn't only measured in dollars, you all have a wealth of fans, friends, and followers! Count me as one of all three of those.

It's all good.

There's a bit of a transition going on, but in a month or two this place should probably be flooded with reviews.

But that's not up to me. One of the guys should probably chime in with a "work schedule" or soemthing.

Let's just say I'm going to be up to my eyeballs in PSU's before too long

Seventeam, Hiper, Enermax, and Silverstone units are all being planned for torture.

Not to mention a XION, a couple of FSP's, Glacial Tech and some PCI-e GPU supplemental units. You, my friend, have a big pile of gear headed your way. A word of advice, unplug the 220V transformer or turn it off when it's not being used, it sucks up a lot of wattage and emits a lot of heat when it's sitting idle.

I hope you're able to enjoy all that stuff, it's some cool stuff. One of these days I'll find an SM up for sale and have the means to buy it, just to have it to use.

Yeah... I just wish I could have kept using the SM-8800 I was using before. But that one had to go back to its owner

Let's see... for the moment, the plan is to get either a Hiper 680W or 880W reviewed, followed by the Seventeam 550W I've been dying to check out, and then go from there. We've been doing nothing but 1kW monsters lately, so I thought I would pull back a bit for a few reviews

Well, you should enjoy the FSP's, (550W and 700W) and the GT is a 550W. The XION is a 700W. I was always afraid it would disintegrate though which makes me nervous.

Or your house catches fire... I don't cook PSU's in a fire resistant oven like some folks I know ;-)

I don't want this to end up being me...

Another word of advice: Plug the 110V cord into the transformer first... THEN the wall. I left that damn thing plugged into the wall and not the transformer and touched those two prongs and thought my heart was going to stop right then and there.
