Default Enermax Pro82+ and Modu82+

So I guess this is kinda old news since the press release is marked November from last year (and says these were at CES) but I had never heard of them so they are new to me.

Modu 82+ = http://www.enermaxusa.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=21_55
Pro 82+ = http://www.enermaxusa.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=21_56

press release - http://www.enermaxusa.com/news/NewsDetails.php?ID=85

The Modu82+ (625W) seems like a really nice PSU to me. Any thoughts about these models from the many experts here?

They were delayed. The first units have just arrived at Enermax's us facility this week.

All these look like are rebadged Liberty units.

Yea, I was thinking about that but the rail distribution is all different. I don't know if that actually means something though

Hopefully they resolved the issues, but only time will tell.

I have very little trust in Enermax PSUs after the numbers I have seen failing in the last six months. They may put out good numbers in tests but there seems to be some serious longevity concerns that were popping up with their Liberty lineup (I have had one fail on me and two others on on people I know not to mention the numerous posts on the NCIX forums a few months ago) and the Infinity units don't seem to be much better.

Jap Caps are all good and dandy but if this ends up being nothing other that another rebadge from Enermax, I'll say: I told you so.

Oh man, don't tell me that! I want to be finished with hardware problems, sigh!

I did a quick search to see if there were web hits about infinitis failing and I didn't see anything. Where are you seeing this, in computer shops? I'd really hate to see Enermax go under, and I thought only the Libertys were bad, that Enermax was improving things and might save their reputation.

I have been wanting to ask this, so here goes:

What *IS* it that is failing in these Liberty supplies? And if something is failing in the Infinitis, what is it?

Your bumming me out, I've been through 2 years of computer problems, I didn't need to see this right now (having a lot of home troubles lately too).

Is this true guys, is it true that the Infiniti is actually a bad supply?

Were we talking about Antec or Enermax?

For me: Liberty 1x dead, Infinity 1x dead
From friends: Liberty 2x dead, Infinity 3x dead

These are from here in Canada where Enermax has a very small footprint on the market. And don't even get me started about their RMA support in Canada....that is a WHOLE rant.

Anyways, since I don't visit many forums I'll pick out the problem threads I have seen in the past 12 months on NCIX alone:

The last one is particularly interesting and so is one of the other ones. You will see me post about the number of Enermax problems people reported in a very short timeframe. I think it was 5 or 6 members' Enermax PSUs bit the dust in two days...hence my reference to Enermax pushing a button...
