Hello all, I have had an Ultra X-Finity 500W (ULT31845) for awhile and have had no issues on this current system and previous motherboard/processor combinations. I would like to have some opinions on whether I should upgrade this PSU even though I am not having any issues.
This is my current system: Intel E2180 @ 3.2 Ghz (320x10) ABIT IP35-E Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro using 4-pin connection to m/b 2x1GB G.Skill DDR2-800 @ 1.8v (1:1.25) EVGA 8800GTS-320MB @ 650Mhz/2000Mhz Seagate 7200.9 300GB SATA HD Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 120GB IDE HD (Connected through IDE to SATA adapter which is also powered) Lite-On DVD-ROM drive Lite-On CD-RW drive Antec Nine Hundred Case Fans all hooked up to 4-pin molex: 1x200mm fan, 5x120mm fans The only USB devices using system power are keyboard and mouse. I have stress tested for extended times with Orthos and playing various games for several hours. So should I just stick with it or am I overextending this PSU and should upgrade? Also, with my motherboard I have seen people have issues (no POST) using the Antec Trio and Corsair 520/620. Thanks in advance! |
