Default Gigabyte Superb 460 - pictures

Courtesy of a friend I have some pictures. I didn't find Superb series on Gigabyte homepage, but it's alive and kicking.
Unlike Odin series which are CWT those are...drums rolling... FSP. Buuu-huuu.
Exactly FSPxxx-60GL Y(NEW2) is printed on PCB, so probably it's a cosmetic version of this FSP.
I don't know about design, but those heatsinks seems too thin for a PSU. Unless it have a >90% efficiency.

Wow. I've never seen these retail boxed. Just bundled with their cases.

They are cheap (in my country) for a 460W PSU, ~$46. A Sirtec 460 is ~$64 and a Corsair VX450 is ~$98, Antec EA430 is~$88 so I guess people will buy it.

The internal looks quite similar with FSP Saga 400w, sold in my country for around 43-44 US$, no PFC though. For the money, i think that's not a rip off to the customer -compared to YoungYear YP-AB 600w based PSU sold for around 60 US$ locally, LOL.

I think it is built for people whose only requirement is a PSU that does not blow up.

Well, that's a bit unfair, Super Nade. It's not all that powerful, and the 29 A on 12v rail is somewhat suspicious, but for many normal mid end system, i think this unit is quite a good PSU for its price.

All FSP build PSUs have those small heatskins so I don't see them being a problem.

Looks like Gigabyte is getting their low-end 400W PSUs from both AcBel(see xbitlabs ATX PSU roundup 9) and FSP. I prefer this FSP GreenPS design to the AcBel one, and frankly speaking this design is a lot more expensive than the AcBel "CM eXtreme Power Pro" one.
