Hi All, I'm not sure anymore I hooked my rig past week to Kw meter, and it says my MAX is 475Wats, I have 600W PSU but think I run out of power, since I'm OC my rig, CPU over 4GHz and my GPU over 700.
So am I OK with my Tagan 600W or should I get another one? I'm thinking about to get Enermax Galaxy 1Kw but I also know out of this forum I don't really need it but maybe I'm getting second GFX.

You have two problems: 600W is barely enough and the Tagan has a split +12V rail.
You don't necessarily need a Galaxy 1000W either, but the overhead isn't going to hurt. It's a nice unit. Go with 700W and up single +12V rail (like M12-700) or 750W and up if the PSU has four or more +12V rails.

Well, 475*0.8 = 380w (if it now is 80% efficient)
Was this just a peak? What does it normally draw? At 380w you are at ca 63% of the PSU's total power, generally ok but as jonny said it depends on rail distribution also... Depending on the design on the PSU this might be the redline...

The Tagan 600W is two +12V with all but the CPU on +12V2. Not good for Ultra's.

Thanks for reply guy's
![]() This is the PSU I have: http://geizhals.at/a204985.html it say's 4x12v Rail's About new PSU Jonny, I'm going to spend about 300 on it but I just want to be sure the Galaxy is the right one for High OC on everything, about single rail if I get one then it should be more then 700W since I buyed the Tagan this year and now I'm already out of power looks like, so I think if I invest now in good unit so I have enough the next year or even two years would be good but also I like modular one's since I like cable management in my case.

Oh.. well, if it's the 600W with four +12V rails, you might be fine.

Anyways I think I'm going to buy better PSU as you said 4 rails and only 600W isn't good spouse to be 750W up. And I'm spending lot's of money on my rig, and the PSU shouldn't be the problem.
Thank you for reply and have a good day
