System Specs:Intel e4400 C2D, EVGA 8800 GTS 320, Abit AB9 Pro, 2 Seagate(300G) and 2 Western Digital(320G) SATA HDDs, ASUS DVD ROM and RAM, Raidmax Smilodon Case,2x 120mm Scythe Fans, 4x Coolmax Blue LED fans The BFG runs that without breaking a sweat. Pre tested it prior to installation on the SunMoon SM8800 ATE and a Fluke Scope-meter.
Get your facts straight. I only reviewed the 650, and it did very poorly. When did I "knock BFG PSUs" once, if not "quite a bit?"

I do knock Topower in general, but they often leave themselves open to a lot of knocking.

In some threads in the past, I have suggested other PSU's over the BFG 800W, but that's because if someone is going to ask me for an opinion on a unit, I'm only going to give an opinion based on actual experience. Completely contrary to what you imply in your Newegg troll-post. Why am I going to recommend for or against something I may know nothing about?

And what does "odd since he works for BFG" have anything to do with the price of rice in China? I only started working for BFG THIS MONTH. What would that have anything to do with a 650W power supply I tested OVER A YEAR AGO? (June 22, 2006)

Are you off your meds?

I will say that having used the 800W since being brought on board at BFG, I do have good things to say about it BUT it's not like I can go around saying good things about it now that I work for BFG because it would appear as if I'm shilling. Doesn't stop some companies, but I like to think I have a little more tact then some folks. If marketing failed to highlight the good points of the 800W when it came out, that's not my fault. If they put a 1000W unit out on the market that had the wrong specs on the label for the +12V rail... again, not my fault. I didn't work for BFG then. Of all of the BFG PSU product out there, I would actually like to keep the 800W on the market for as long as possible (although it does need an upgrade to four PCI-e connectors) but I'm also looking at many alternatives to Topower for other units in the BFG lineup.

Oh.. and shens on the SunMoon and the Fluke.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say that SteelBeach is a close personal friend of gr33n gecko from the Sapphire forums.

"Ripple on the 12V rails is 94mV @ 39 AMp load (in other words: amazingly low at such an unusally high load- thats a good thing)"

How does he think this is low? I mean I know very little about power supplies but common sense tells me that is like not very good compared to a this silverstone psu that you reviewed jonny. http://www.jonnyguru.com/review_deta...112&page_num=2

(I really wish I knew how-to read those charts :X )

94mV to me sounds horrible at that amperage.

Also not to mention this claim too
"Sound Output at 75F ambient air temp under full load is 18.968 dB (specifically the high load mentioned above!)according to my industrial noise meter.( thats shockingly quiet and coincedently, the dual 80mm set up moves almost 15 c.f. of air more that the single 120mm everyone gets crammed down their gullet)"

I think this guy is full of shit. Also... What a nice model of a noise meter! It's Industrial man that just makes me sound badass and reliable cause I used the word industrial. This guy just proves why I only take newegg reviews with a grain of salt

Also just my opinion here, but someone here should just review this psu for shits and giggles just too see how much of seeming utter bullshit is true.

Each block vertically represents 50mV, that should help you fram the amplitude a bit.

As it should. The spec is 120mV so 94mV would certainly not be what I would call good at 39A.

I can't test one, for obvious reasons, but OKW helped out SKYMTL with some internal shots for this review: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...ly-review.html

And there's a new review of it here: http://hardwarelogic.com/news/136/AR...008-01-03.html

I sent both of these units out knowing that they would probably get decent reviews, despite "knocking BFG PSU's quite a bit."

Here here. When a guy starts throwing poorly built accusations and FUD I think you have a right, now, actually a duty, to respond!

I bet he is just jealous that he doesn't have HIS own site that is so good!

I don't know how to take this as an endorsement or a slap on the wrist...

FYI, I don't find the score I gave it overly positive.

I also have to ask: why bother replying to a product review on an etailer's website? I have seen alot worse said about you without such a personal response.
