Website UPDATE has taken place.

Sup Everyone,

We have been working hard over the last few days moving the forums part of the site to a new host. This change will hopefully resolve the issues we had been seeing in the past with the slow load times or non-responsive site. We moved from a virtual server on Terra-Byte to the dedicated server that also hosts Modders-Inc.

I just placed a redirect in the main site to direct the .com forums to the .net forums. There are a few posts from the last couple of days that didn't make the move. We apologize that not all of the posts made it. It boils down to either loosing a few posts or shutting the forums completely down from start to finish.

We feel loosing a few posts was the best option to choose. If you notice any problems, please let us know by posting in this section. We will try to correct the issues as quickly as possible.

a few posts? How about more than 24 hours worth of posts and topics? I understand the need for updating, but it would have been nice to have been given warning.

There are 48 posts that did not make it. In my book 48 is "a few" when compared to the 26985 that did make it. Not to mention how much of a pain in the rear it was to get it done.

Let me just put it this way. It boiled down to either saying to hell with it and doing it, or taking a chance that all the content on Jonnys site would go bye bye. He had nothing but problems with the previous host and tried everything he could to resolve the issues. Every backup attempt that we made, ended in corrupted files and a server that was struggling to even keep up with one visitor. We had two options.

A) Kill the site, set up the new one (24 hours start to finish) and wait for the DNS to go through (takes anywhere from 24 - 72 hours).

B) Set the new one up grab and the db while the .com is live and redirect once the .net goes live.

What is the timeframe you guys are looking at to get the rest of the site (reviews, etc) back online? If this is already covered somewhere can you please direct me, I haven't come across it yet.

The main site (Reviews & etc) are online and have been the entire time. They are still located on the .com addy. We just moved the forums over.

That time is getting closer. I thought I would kick this live for a bit and see what everyone thinks. I still have some editing to do but for the most part, everything is intact.

Let me know if you find any major issues. If you find a page or two with missing images, it's because I haven't edited them yet. I got this setup together and converted most of the sites content over during the past two weeks.

Well other then the page being a bit wide and not scaling to fit the screen it looks good so far. Are the articles going to be devided into catigories for easier navigation?
