Hello there,
I will get on monday my Q6600, and I will o/c it heavy! seeking 3.8ghz, so it will require allot of power, I got my 8800GTS clocked @ 684/2056 from stock: 500/1600, and a power hungry Asus P5K deluxe , besides I got 1 DVD/RW drive/ Raptor X 150Gb drive/ Creative X-fi Xtreme music/ Monitor/ USB mouse/ USB keyboard and 10 fans!!. Will my Corsair HX520W handle this( hello jonnyGuru?). If so, would it be good for the long time run, I mean if it stress the PSU constantly to its max, wouldnt be good, I just bought this PSU 1 month , so dont have the money to spend for another one..... Any help appreciated, ~ reNji Last edited by `reNji; 08-19-2007 at 06:25 AM. |

The HX520W would be fine as long as you don't have four drives or decide to add a second card in there.

I'd go for a higher wattage unit. Like a 700+ but that's me.

If someone were buying these parts out right, I'd agree. Go with something higher wattage. But since he already has the HX520W, I see no harm in using it... at least for now.

Thnx allot JoinnyGuru & ofc the others , I waited for your reply, I wont Use a second card, so I stay away from SLI, but! I might add another 500-1T disk, and maybe in the futhur upgrade to a GTX ( step-in warranty from eVGA) or a new G92( but I heared the G92 will be more efficient then the 8800 cards not sure tho), would it still being ableto handle this O/ced rig? So will there still be some headroom.. without maxing the PSU out?, i think maxing it out wont be good for the long time run
