JonnyGuru, (or anyone with knowledge/experience in this area)
I'm adding a 2nd PSU to my rig. It is to help with running all the extras and to run the water cooling pumps. The question is: Can you change the PCI-E (red) connector to a 4 pin molex and use it to power a fan controller? Black is ground. Yellow is +12v There are 3 black and 3 yellow to each PCI-E connector. Can the black be combined to one and the yellow the same, and put into a 4pin molex, to provide power the controller? I'm running 2 Sunbeam fan controllers w/ 6 120x38mm SHE Delta's and 6 120x25mm SHE Delta's, 2 MCP655 Pumps and assorted led's and cold cathodes. My main PSU is an Enermax Galaxy 850, the 2nd PSU is an Enermax Liberty 500. Thanks... Lee

I guess that you ignored everyone telling you that you had plenty of power to run your system with a single 850W PSU.
And no, you can't do that without running a red (+5V) line to the molex since the fan controller needs both 12V and 5V to operate. The grounds and 12V wires can be combined with no issue although it's complete overkill. If the fan controller was capable of outputting more power than a single molex could supply they'd have more inputs on it for power. You're still running more than enough power with that Galaxy to power your system though. Why you feel inclined to add the complexity and mess of wiring a 2nd PSU when it's totally un-needed is beyond me.
