One of my all time favorite games was Cosmic Chasm.
http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?...=&game_id=7400 Trivia: There was only 300 of them made, and there were no conversion kits available. So it's pretty rare. But there was one at the Circle K caddy corner from my Jr. High and I would play it every day. I was particulary good at it because I had the home version of it on the Vectrex and the home version was actually HARDER because the walls were all jagged and the rooms all different shapes and sizes. For whatever reason, when they ported the game to the arcade, they made all of the rooms the same shape and size. DUH!! The game helped me learn the Greek alphabet because each level was a Greek letter... Mission Alpha, Mission Beta, Mission Gamma.. Mission Zeta. I've made it all of the way to Omega. Know what happens next? You go back to Alpha. At that point, I got pissed off and walked away with three good ships in the queue.

I remember Pong, Microvision, Blip, Atari 2600, but the first video game I really obsessed over/got really good at was Galaga. I've loved pinball machines since I was old enough to understand that I wasn't supposed to constantly beat on the flipper buttons. In 1980, my apartment complex had "Flash" (based on Flash Gordon), they had a contest that if anybody could put up a high score that lasted a week, they got a free six pack. My high score lasted until the machine was removed, although I only got 1 six pack of coke.

The first arcade game I played was Galaga (and pac-man at the same day).
As for a console game, Legend of Zelda (NES). Some of the first pc games I played was the games which comes with the NV1 videocard, Diamond Edge: Virtua Fighter remix, Panzadragoon and Nascar. As for a real pc game, civilization 2. |

Fisrt PC game... hmmm wow that's a long way back.
The Marathon series on the Macintosh! This was before Bungie got sold over to Microsoft. The Marathon games have since then been made open-source by the developer. You can get it here. I remember spending countless hours playing this game in co-op mode. Was a load of fun.

First game of mine, hmm probably pacman around 1983.
As for my favorite of all times, tough to say. There were a few awesome titles through my earlier amiga and then pc times, but I always go back with memory to Shadow Fire (1985). Awesome game, and a brakethrough
