it's fan to see a forum like this where everyone care about PSUs but no one about UPSs.
PSU and UPS are so related, I will never understand this.

Cyberpower is a Taiwanese company.

APC is a big UPS company that's part of a much bigger company.

The brand name carries cache.

That's the only reason. Internally, they're both very similar.

I have always bought Cyberpower without issue. I only have one APC and that's because I bought it on a "hot deal" for half price.

very appreciated answer
I'm not in hurry to buy a new UPS but I am trying to gather some information and it is very difficult.

Most people are buying this CP1500EPFCLCD (1500VA-900W):

there is a lot of feedbacks for this particular UPS but it is only 900W.

I'm interested in this PR1500ELCD (1500VA-1350W):

but I find no information on the internet apart a video on youtube of a person who regret buying it because it is very noisy.

I had very bad experience with my BR1500GI from APC with humming and buzzing noisy, very distracting, I sent in RMA three units before getting one silent unit.

So I am pretty warried about the warrenty and the place where I buy it.
I don't find the cyberpower 1350W as sent and sold by amazon (amazon has painless warrenty itself) so I care about warrenty.

another thing I don't understand why both models are advertised to be 1500VA but one is a 900W UPS and the other is a 1350W.
isn't VA strictly related to WATT?

The difference between the VA and watts rating is intriguing. Typically, the wattage is 60% of the VA rating.

I can't comment on noise as I haven't personally heard either of these units. I will say that ALL of my UPSs are very noisy (buzzing AND beeping) when they're in battery mode, but are perfectly silent when on line power. I can't hear the fans in any of them.

thanks for the answer.
I have no problem in noise when running on battery, but my recent APCs where noisy even while AC is working properly.
the only things I can do is to wait to find in on Amazon (sold from Amazon) with a "painless return assurance" in case of noise.

regarding VA. do you think that this UPS will be able to correctly switch on battery and leave my PC on if the load is greater than 1kW even if is "1500VA only"?

I ask this because my BR1500GI from APC is advertised to be up to 865W but at only 800W it shut off if there is an outage.

Ok. Because in your OP you said you WERE pretty bothered when your UPS made noise in battery mode.

What kind of noise is the APC making when it's not in battery mode? Is it just fan noise?

In the original post I wrote that my PSU scream when the UPS switch on battery, this is because the PSU don't like the approximated sine wave of my UPS.
I'm sorry, probably my english is not clear as it should

The APC makes a strange noise, I think that the correct words for it is buzzing and humming.
Fan is deadly silent (because it is stopped) until the UPS switch on battery.

As I said, I replaced three units before getting a silent one.
