Question Advance EA4g-650 650w PSU

Hi guys. Got some questions that I think only you guys can answer.

Around 2010 when I was younger I bought a new PSU so I could get a better GPU on my pre-built system. Not knowing much at the time I bought the cheapest 650w PSU I could find.

This was my finding https://www.amazon.co.uk/ADVANCE-EA4.../dp/B001CTB8WC

I didn't bought it through Amazon but from a retail shop in Portugal.

My question are if this is a decent PSU of some sort and what should I do with it.

It's been in my pc for 6 years now and never failed under stress, with overcloking, and there was one time were I dusted my pc and decided to open up the unit and it looked to me like it was well built (not cheap looking with that bad soldering, just average) but the only people I find talking about the brand Advance are french people and say the PSU from them suck and should never be bought and don't point to an actual review.

So was I lucky or is this unit something decent?

P.S. I can get some photos of the unit if needed.

Advance is crap. So you're lucky the PC still works and unlucky that the PSU still works. Because now it can still kill your PC, or more probably the PSU still is trying.

That's not a good PSU.

Throw it away, amigo.

I would only use that PSU on a "mascletą".

Because its internal quality is horrible. Only killing your PC with ultra-high ripple and wasting your energy with ultra-low power efficiency. And with that internal quality should not last longer. It's a gutless wonder.

Nothing has died in the 6 years it was on my pc. Don't know about wasting energy has I have no way of cheking that.

And this PSU doesn't look nothing like those gutless wonders you posted.

It looks better than the best gutless wonder I've looked at, the Rosewill APS-450CCP.

Although I probably wouldn't call this one ^^ a gutless wonder. Seems decent.
