Default honeywell air purifier

hi guys.
I'm fixing macs are want to reduce the air dusk count in addition to using an air compressor to blow them out. Would an air purifier help me to a degree. A guy at a repair show says that it's baloney, even though his boss uses it in a room. I'm getting mixed messages here.

Are you fixing Macs? Are you wanting to reduce dust?

An air purifier isn't going to do much for dust. Not as much as a good exhaust fan blowing AWAY from the work area.
