Arrow Silverstone Strider Titanium 1500W Review

Quote:
It's Silverstone's turn at the plate again today. They've sent me their biggest and baddest unit in the Strider Titanium 1500 watt model. Given the high demand for units this size by crypto miners lately, it's always good to check them out to see how they do when put to the test.

Not much we can do about pricing as these kilowatt PSUs sell out quickly and retailers are taking advantage of them. This ST1500-TI had MSRP of $359.99 in North America (or more depending on region and tax/VAT) in case anyone's wondering.

Hey. Good to see you, Silverstone Rep. Q: is the temperature set to 50C because some mining rooms get hot?

ehume, not specific to mining but we envisioned this PSU to be used in quite a number of environments with elevated temperature.

I don't like the 6pin connector for the Sense thing because some People might try to insert a drive cable in it or vice versa.

And of course the lack of heatsinking of +12V...
