I know it works but since I have 3 boxes at home, I'd like to have a spare. This is from used market, seller claim brand new in box and for $40 Canadian. Just wondering if I should get it and keep it as a spare PSU.

Older Seasonics are solid: I mean, decently built and good enough performing, so it surely deserves to be used as a back-up/spare unit (OTOH they don't deserve anymore to be purchased as new, unless the asked price is substantially lower than more modern, more competitive units, such as a Corsair CX(M) 2015/2017 edition or similar).
