Default HD 6870 heatsink.

I have a 1gb XFX 6870 in my main computer, and it's running hot. My definition of hot is 78C idle, and it just had a shutdown at load. Performance-wise, the card is fine for me, so I'm not really considering a new card.

On my olde Asus 4850TOP, I have an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 with a 120mm fan on it. Would that heatsink likely mount to the 6870?

Default

Tried it with some AS5 to see, and it lines up. Load on Dead Island so far is 69C. So, I'd say it works.
