Hey guys,
I have a 7 year old Dell Vostro 430 which I mainly use for web browsing and, rarely, some older games. For a while now it has issues such as random reboots and it never returns from sleep mode (these were not issues before and no hardware changes were made to cause them). Another issue is it doesn't power up right away, instead I click the power button multiple times and eventually it will boot (the clicks are registered because the fans do a brief spin each time). When I switched the video card from a HD5770 to a lower power HD4350 a few weeks ago the random reboots completely stopped, but the other two are still there (sleep and power up issues). I suspect the PSU may be dying or performing poorly so I'm looking to upgrade - any suggestions? I've read loads on here and elsewhere but most recommendations are for newer machines or gamers or overclockers, none of which apply to me. My PC spec: Dell Vostro 430 i7 860 2.8GHz HD5770 1GB (but currently using HD4350 due to reboot issues) 8GB DDR3 1333 (4 x 2GB) 1 x SSD 2 x HDD LiteOn PSU (PS-6351-2) Windows 10 I know it's an old PC but I have no need to upgrade if a PSU fixes my issues and I'm curious to try it. It goes without saying, I won't be doing many upgrades in the future so don't need extra capacity. Ideally I want to spend £35-40, but can stretch to £45. I don't need modular, or silence (quieter is better, but no biggie), or pretty looks ![]() Corsair CP-9020049-UK VS450 BE QUIET! Among the list you provide I think Corsair CX450 is the best

Yes. That desktop is old. Yes. The original PSU is pretty shitty.
But at least it's a standard ATX form factor.

After an hour and a few caps that old PSU would have been as good as new

Recap the supply with good low ESR units and you will have supply that is even better than when it was new.

Still not as good as CX450 though.
