Hi! I'm Doug. ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering) Major @ UofL speed school. I'm a junior this year. Currently on a really old (4 years) PC that i built before i knew much about computers. Found this place while researching parts for the new beast i plan to build in december.

I'd really like to get a R&D Electronics job, but currently i'm on hiatus untill January from a telecommunications job.

Hello everybody in GURUland

My real name is Chris,
I'll be 32 in 9 days....Doh!!
I posted how I had gotten into PC's in the eletronics disscussion, so let me
tell you what I do now.
I'm a PC Specialist for a small company called EXVG in Clearwater,
that mainly deals with graphics and webdesign.
I take care of 2 servers{WS2003SB} and 8 stations{XP PRO ADMIN install}
Pretty much, I'm on call 24/7 , but.... I do make my own hours which is
why I'm always able to be here, gotta love it
When I'm not dealing with PC disfunctional people in Clearwater, I deal with
them in Orlando,Deland,DeBary,Deltona,Daytona,Orange City, ect. with my
little side venture called CAD's Delight.
I fix, upgrade, build, maintain plenty of PC's throu out Volusia Co.
I've been married now 9 years with children. My 6 year old son Christopher
and my 8 year old daughter Ally both have their own PC's and drive me
nutting futts with destroying their OS's
I put W2000PRO on their PC's and problem solved
My wife is just as bad if not worse, She now knows how to reformat her own PC with XP
I by far have too many PSU's to name,so I'll just name off the good onesr
some what good, mabey put it this way, I own about 7 L&C PSU's
They all work, but I'm too scared to put them on anything over a 500Mhz
sandbox!
I hope OW doesen't read this.

I'm Matt, I'm old but younger than some of y'all but not all. I was born and reared in Cali but Imoved to Arkansas in '92 after getting shafted several thousand dollars by an asshat ex-employer. My folks had retired there. I've since moved to Hotlanta and I'm attempting to find work here.

I've been into electronics since I was a toddler, when I was 2 I fixed the phonograph at Oakland Children's hospital since I was imprisioned there after having reconstructive chest surgery, I also fixed the light-bright. I've been tewaring things apart ever since. I got into PC's in 2000 when I bought my first one for plotting sub enclosures. I had it apart and was upgrading it the week after I bought it and I've been up to my elbows in PC's ever since.

Now I review hardware. Gotta love it.

Hi, I'm Dwayne. (I have to keep this sounding like an AA meeting...)

I've been into computers since the BBS days--my greatest two upgrades ever have been a 14.4k modem (it actually downloaded the text faster than you could read!!!) and my first 3dfx card. Oh so pretty....

For the longest time I've been running my dual Xeon machine of which I was oh so proud of, but it has been put out of service, due to me moving. And a C2D build is in the planning stages.

My background in life: I've been a civilian now for around 3.5 months, after serving in the Navy for 8 years. I currently work for Texas State Univeristy Police Department in San Marcos as a dispatcher. And I'm still getting used to civilian life--leaving the military after that long is still depressing at times, but I'm getting through it. Also, I am scheduled to start school at Texas State beginning in the spring, so that should be fun.

Hi, i'm Marçal.

I'm 21 and i'm from Girona (Catalonia -> Spain).

I started at the age of 13 putting my P2 333 (multiplier unlocked) inside a freezer, doing vmods covering the BXXX pins and change the FSB default to 100Mhz xD

I'm "técnico superior en administración de sistemas informáticos", don't know what would that be in EEUU...

Hardware has been my hobbie since I did my first overclock, also I like ski, btt and programming.

Actually I own an enermax liberty 620W which is instable with my crossfire setup :P

My real name is not yakko.

I do not live in Ohio.

I have never been to jonnyGURU's house down south.

I work too hard for too little money.

Willie tried to gaffle my pen but I got it back.

my real name is Tom Van der Vliet, and im from Belgium. im 21 years old, still stuying, which partly explains why i have a pretty crappy psu(levicom 500, but it powers my rig without problems.), which i bought before i knew about psu's.
the rest of my system consists of a pentium m 740, an asus p4p800-e mobo, some geil ram, and an asus v9999GE graphics card.

im wanting to upgrade it next year, but i like to travel and live abroad a lot, and that costs even more than decent computer stuff, so im not sure if that will work out.

My name's Doug and I'm 39...been 39 for almost 12 years now. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life except for a 2 year Army hitch but that wasn't exactly "my life" anyway so yeah PNW all the way. I was wrapping up my comp sci degree when the first microprocessors hit the home/personal market and been tinkering with them ever since. Never married...no kids...my house looks like a cross between a computer chop shop and an Atari Museum lol I've got maybe a dozen working ATX psu's around here but only two really good ones...a Sytrin Nextherm 460 and a TT Toughpower 700 modularizationized that has "Open Me" written all over the little warranty sticker and I reckon that's gonna happen this weekend after the game. I need to connect that 140mm fan to my T-balancer because uhh because I'm a control freak lol...in the meantime...GO DUCKS!
