18 gauge has 0.02 ohms per meter; put 10 amp through this and one has a voltage drop of 0.2V

Manufacturers would not put voltage drop compensation into a system if it was not significant

Yes seen it as well...more Copper/solder or whatever and bigger isn't always better..Then come into question Quality of said Conductor and materials and trying different ones...As well start playing around with of course Inductance/Leads with all that as well.

Do their sleeved cables have sense wires on them?

Corsair sleeved cables come with sense wires and caps.

The cables that come from manufacturers like Corsair and EVGA do. The after market cables like CableMod usually don't.
