Default Can I send you a power supply?

jonnyGURU, Oklahoma Wolf (and any others - Sorry I don't know who all gives reviews) thank you for the service you provide. I just registered, but I've been reading you reviews for over 10 years. They have helped me countless times in deciding whether or not to buy a power supply.

First off, I don't buy cheap power supplies for me or the computers I build! But no matter how much advice you give some people, they are still going to try and cheap out and pay as little as possible to protect their $1000 system. It makes no sense to me!

That being said, do you accept suggestions/power supplies for testing? Don't know if I can post links, but there's a brand "Excelvan" on Amazon with an instant 60% off of the available power supplies in 500W, 600W, 750W, 800W, and 1000W variants. The 750W and 1000W versions are shaped and styled like the Corsair RM series. I sincerely doubt they're made by CWT! But with the discount, the 750W is only $12 shipped!

At that price, people are going to take a risk. Maybe a review from your site will shed some light on the internals and convince or dissuade people to buy/avoid them? I will be happy to have one delivered to you guys because I'm very curious myself. Thanks guys!

624w 12V on a 750w PSU? Group regulated for sure, and even then, I'm a bit concerned that the full 750w requires -12V to actually get there, a sure sign of an overrated PSU...

Regardless of quality, how does one make a profit with $12 including shipping?

The pricing on the 750w model seems to be some kind of error if you compare it to the other units. It's less expensive than the 600w unit. Like wise, the 800w & 1000w units both share more standard pricing for units of their capacity.

Oddly enough, the 500w & 600w share a similar design as do the 800w & 1000w but the 750w seems to be a third design in use.

LOL! That is NOT a CWT built PSU.

I love how they use Corsair stylization on the labels and put it in an EVGA looking box. This has scam written all over it. LOLOLOL!!!

Right, like I said, I don't want one for myself! But people will risk it anyway and take a chance. Either they'll learn that lesson the hard way, or hopefully someone will review it and expose the internals and people will come across the review before purchasing.

I'm loving the peak wattage claim, if Jeremy doesn't end up test one of these I might grab one myself and see how much power it will take before it explodes

The "26DB" under full load is also somewhat amusing.

That's true when measured from a non-standard distance.
