Default High Power model HPL-800BR-F14S PSU

My system purchased from CyberPower has a "Standard" PSU. The actual PSU supplied by them is a High Power model HPL-800BR-F14S. Could I possibly have your opinion on this?

Personally, I don't know much about it. I know it's not a fire hazard and it can put out an actual 800W. High Power doesn't make any "garbage" really. But a lot of mediocre products.

It has DC to DC for the minor rails, which is good. Not very efficiency (Bronze, right)?

That's about all I know. No idea what components are used inside (proper X and Y caps, brand of caps, topolgy, etc.).

That unit should be very similar internally to the Rosewill HIVE S 850w. As Jon said, definitely not a fire hazard but it's a mediocre design.

Here's an alternative review of the 1000w model just for another point of comparison.

Thanks for the responses. I am really interested on any more information anyone may have. I have a spec sheet which I got from High Power, but it means little to me!. I can send this to anyone who is interested.

It is a .pdf document. Is there any way to attach a .pdf document to a thread?

Need to convert to JPG and attach.

Either that or upload to a file sharing service and link to it.

But my guess is there's nothing there that isn't already on the spec label.

Yeah. Not much there. Pretty much just says it meets Intel specs.

Thanks. Would you consider it a reliable unit to use on an i5 gaming system?
