Default When Did PSU Reviews Begin?

Based on some of the research I'm doing, it seems like PSU reviews started in 2005, correct? The Jonnyguru "About Us" page says that is when Jonny got his load tester. Looking at Hardwaresecrets, Gabriel Torresstarted reviewing in 2006. So were there really no reviews prior to 2005? Just relied on the ol' brand recognition and weight (aside from those units that stuck concrete in them)?

Pretty sure Xbit Labs and SPCR were doing proper reviews before me.

Mike Chin was using a D-RAM DBS-2100 load tester in late 2002. Oleg at Xbit labs started in very early 2005. Before me.

But, yeah... before that, people would just put a PSU in a build, run a benchmark and measure the voltages with a DMM.

OT: would you please send some SF/RMx/RMi/HXi sample to MikeC? It's too much time I don't read a proper PSU review there!

It is amazing how much the reviews have improved over those old ones, I was amazed at how little content was actually in each review.

Robotech (Lee), he's been around since 2001/2ish. He's done lot's of stuff for lots of websites that no longer exist and some that still do. His stuff was kind of scatter shot across the web though since he free lanced. Lot's other cool stuff to from him back in the day from WC, to mods, to PSU mods, controllers, etc.

Yeah like those old Anandtech ones aren't reviews by today's standards, just a restating of the basic specifications.
