Default Variable voltage power supply

A thought has come to mind for power supplies with sense wires. If one had a variable potential divider (2 resistors, one of which is variable) then one could put the sense wires on this and end up with a voltage controlled power supply.

Anyone tried this? All I have is old technology with no such feedback circuit.

Your voltage output is going to be of very limited range as the sense wire's +/- is very minimal to begin with.

Very true, but what a great review test to see how a supply copes with a sense wire that returns zero volts, and the sense plug still in place.
