If I can ran my PSU at 100% load why do you suggest a 850W PSU for a GTX580 SLI if my GTX580 SLI with I7 2600@4,2GHz with 1Black 2TB and 1 SSD don't go over 580W?

There isn't a single mention in the entire thread of a 580 SLI setup.. much less one about a 580 SLI setup + overclocked 2600k staying under 580W at all times.. so, what's up!?

when you drive your car, do you keep the RPMs at redline every where you go, regardless of the conditions?

everyone in this thread has told you that you can run your PSU at 85 to100% capacity, no one has suggested that you should.

Generally, everyone doesn't know what they're talking about.

For a GTX 580 SLi setup with 1 SSD, 2 HDD, 2600K OC'd to hell and back with a high end board and some high end case fans, I'd still only suggest a 750w PSU in most cases.

As for the power draw figure, I have no idea where that's coming from unless it's a measured gaming load by yourself; but the reason to suggest a 750w unit is for those out there that do Folding @ Home or similar type applications and stress the setup at high work loads 24/7 as then you may see a point at which you get close to a 700w draw.

For a gaming load, you're almost always going to expect lower than a Compute load; as SLi is not perfect, and most games don't scale over 4 Cores/threads easily.

Same thread yet again: Ask question: get answer: tell people who give answer that they are wrong.

Why do you post exactly ?

I'm not an expert, but I can read the reviews.
The high quality units are designed to meet and exceed expectations.

You buy the very best and then question if it can do what it claims?

I just don't understand. If you want to over-provision by %100, you might as well as least pay less for it.

sblantipodi its funny what some people think is funny, I smell troll, or worse.
Your questions are unrelated, if you were mistaken in your question/presentation honest people react.
You are not a seeker, nor well mannered.
