Default Lead free solder

How much has lead free solder affected the reliability of power supplies? I believe the medical, military and aerospace industry are allowed continue to use leaded solder to avoid the tin whisker issue. I do all my repairs with leaded solder.

It's made it more expensive and time consuming.

The mixture of the solder alloy has to be constantly monitored, as well as the temperature of the solder, and the wave solder machines have to be cleaned out more frequently.

Probably addressed at the process level so it's kept at a minimum.
