Default Preview: Be Quiet! Straight Power 10 700 W CM (E10-CM-700W) @HWI

http://www.hardwareinsights.com/wp/p...0-e10-cm-700w/

BTW discussion couple months ago suggested the unit has DC-DC switchers, that is why I opted for it actually. I can already leak an information it is not the case. Though the implementation works good still, the regulation is very nice. Even of the -12 V rail

Of course not, it's Straight Power 10, not standard Aurum.

Could be ACFR+synchronous rectification and independent voltage regulation, never really checked.

Well, that platform was already reviewed by Aris many months ago (where I read about secondary synchronous rectification with two DC-DC converters for minor rails): OTOH I didn't understand the apparent antithesis ("suggested the unit has DC-DC switchers" <-> "it is not the case").

A small mistake like that is easily made, doesn't make much difference performance wise, though.

Do you have any proof for your wild accusations?!

It would be nice to see some less subjective things from you...

WTF

Anyway, Aris is indeed not right in here, I think he did not inspect it carefully enough as there are also some strange things about the transistors (but I also just glimpsed at that review). But as I stated, the regulation is good, just the implementation is rather, unusual. Not sure if it is what makes the unit so expensive even when using garbage capacitors. Could you wait for the review itself (hopefully during the weekend, beginning of the week at most), or do you need to know now?
