Default Help for repairing Delta PSU (DPS-200PB-189A)

Hi there.
Due to a mistake, while testing the termistor for variable voltage at the cooling fan, I've managed to make a short between the ground and the heatsink (the one where the mosfets are screwed) on a Delta PSU (DPS-200PB-189A).

As a result the R3 resistor was blown away.

After I've raised my wall fuse back and restore power outlet, the PSU no longer works.

I don't know what else is damaged, but visual inspection shows only the R3 resistor being the one with problem, so I would like to swap this first and see if I can make it work back again.

First problem is I can't properly identify it. Can anyone tell me what value it is and what is its purpose? With what resistor should I swap it?

Colors are: Brown, Black, Silver, Gold and... a White.

Thanks!

Well.. you know that's what the color bands are for, right?

Weird thing is, the thrid band looks silver. Usually only fourth and fifth are silver or gold. And there's no white fifth band.

Fourth band is definitely gold, so I know you have the orientation right.

So if I had to guess, brown, black, gray?, gold, silver.

That would be a 10.8 Ohm resistor with 10% tolerance.

Just to explain for OP, gold is 10^-1 as a multiplier, silver is 10^-2.

find a 5w wirewound or cement some like 20-33ohms. find something close...unless you blew the diodes and doubting that...you tripped it and it's one of the switchers again.

We should do Repair Video's or something...Something Cool and Neat.

Similar need help too...Not sure what to pull or check on the Apevia somethings tripping it too.

Help get that one back up and we can change the filters or something cool.
