Default Is Owltech a legitimate psu distributor or fake?

I saw some posts on our lOcal online pc store here in the Philippines about a psu reseller. So I ask him what he sells and he sent me a picture of FSP Raider II 80+ silver but the catch is there is a Owltech.co.jp on the box is it legit?

I don't get the question.

They're a reseller in Japan. They sell FSP.

You can check for yourself on Owltech's website to see if the model you are looking at really exist.
https://www.owltech.co.jp/product-cat/fsp

Some brands will work with local distributors to come up with region-specific models that differ slightly from the standard products in various ways. Could be just localized retail box, different cable configuration, fan, accessories, or capacitors, etc...

That's a Japanese thing. They do the same thing with Corsair products. They slap a huge label with a bunch of Japanese on it on the box. Still the same product inside.

I understand the concern though.

Check out this thread where Owltech packaged a Seasonic G-Series:\

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/...ech-brand.html

Fucking SR-71 Blackbird has his panties all in a knot over it thinking it's fake!!!

But it's fine.

Yeah I asked in that sight and he is also the one who answered my thread saying Owltech psus that they are selling are not good quality ones.

The catch is I really need a new psu and the seller of the Owltech distributed psu's wont answer my questions hence I bought a Seasonic M12ii Evo 80+ Modular 520
Do you think that will be enough for my build and future build? I already have the psu if it affects the stability of my future build, please suggest a cpu that is somewhat similar to Ryzen 5 2600

current:
i3 4160
GA H81M-S1
8gb ram
GTX 1050Ti
3 fans
2 7.2k hdd's

future:
Ryzen 5 2600
B350m
RX580

Yeah... you would've been better off with the FSP from Owltech.

Why did you need a new PSU right now? The Corsair VS450 wasn't dead right?

If he has a VS450, then he got a worse PSU than he had and - like bitwit, got blinded by the label and replaced a better PSU with a worse one because there is a label from a "known brand" on it...
